Hugh Dalziel Duncan was an author and educator, best known for his writings and theories on sociology. Born in Scotland, he was educated in the United States at the Universities of Drake and Chicago and became a naturalized American citizen. He lectured or held positions at various schools, while writing books and articles on various sociological themes. Duncan fought in World War II as a member of the United States Army.
