Edwin B. Janes was an autograph and manuscript collector of Cleveland, Ohio.

Albert Gallatin Riddle (1816- 1902), lawyer, Republican legislator, and author. He served as member of the Ohio House of Representatives (1848-1850) and then as the state representative in the Thirty-seventh Congress. In 1863-1864, he was consul at Matanzas, Cuba. After the Civil War, he practiced law in Washington, D.C. and was retained by the State Department to aid in the prosecution the assassins of President Lincoln. From 1877 to 1889, he served as law officer of the District of Columbia.

Andrew J. Williams (b. 1829), Ohio lawyer, Democratic politician, and amateur historian. In 1861, he briefly served as 2nd Lieutenant of Co. D of the 7th Ohio Infantry regiment; in 1864 he was drafted and served as U.S. Army paymaster. After the war, he practiced law in Missouri, and by 1880, he had moved to Cleveland, Ohio. Williams one of the leaders of the city's Early Settlers' Association.
