Frank A. Stone received his undergraduate degree from Heidelberg College (Ohio), followed by study at the Graduate School of Theology, Oberlin College from which he earned the M.Div. and Doctor of Ministry degrees. Pursuing an interest in Biblical archaeology, Dr. Stone went to the Middle East in 1953, serving as a teacher and administrator with the United Church Board for World Missions. After doctoral study at Boston University, Dr. Stone joined the faculty at University of Connecticut where he taught until his retirement in 1994.
