The Office of Vice President for Budget and Resource Planning was created in the early 1980s with the appointment of Dr. Richard Bing. The responsibilities of the Office include review and oversight of the budgets of all schools and departments. The four main areas of the office are: Academic Facilities, Planning and Construction, Real Estate, and the Office of the University Architect. The office is also in charge of the NYU Bookstore and all ID card offices. The name of the Office was changed in November 2003 to the Office of Public Resource Administration and Development.
