Rex C.Hopson, a former librarian at The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, is a scholar in the history and construction uses of adobe and rammed earth.

He has taught at the University of New Mexico, in public shools and high schools, and at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
