Biographical History

Hopson was a librarian at the University of New Mexico. He was also a scholar in the history of adobe. His other major research interest was the architecture of hotels, inns, and opera houses in New Mexico.

Rex C.Hopson, a former librarian at The University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, is a scholar in the history and construction uses of adobe and rammed earth.

He has taught at the University of New Mexico, in public shools and high schools, and at the Universidad de los Andes in Bogota, Colombia.
