Hoff, Philip H. (Philip Henderson), 1924-
Variant namesPhilip Henderson Hoff was born in Turners Fall, Massachusetts on June 29, 1924. He studied law and was elected governor of Vermont November 7, 1962. He was reelected in 1964 and 1966. In 1983 he was elected state senator for Chittenden County, Vermont. He served three terms, from 1983 to 1988. While serving as senator, Hoff was the chairman of the Senate Education Committee.
