Saunders, Charles Richard, 1902-1981.
Saunders received his BS (1923) and MA (1925) from Alabama Polytechnic Institute (now Auburn University) and his PhD in chemistry (1930) from University of Nebraska. He returned to API to teach in 1932 and was appointed Dean of the School of Chemistry in 1950. He held this position until his retirement in 1968.
