Helen F. Tilton Batchelder, from Auburn, NH, graduated from the New Hampshire College of Agriculture and the Mechanic Arts with a degree in Arts and Sciences in 1917. She was a member of the Honorary Zoological Fraternity, Pi Gamma;Alpha Alpha Alpha which was a women's society and of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was also active in the young Women's Christian Association (Y.W.C.A.). She married Philip Batchelder, Class of 1918. The College was founded in Hanover, NH in 1866. It moved to Durham, NH in 1893 and became the University of New Hampshire in 1923.
