Grace Lutheran Church (Lewiston, Idaho)
Grace Lutheran, sponsored by Trinity Lutheran of Lewiston, began as a mission church under the leadership of Rev. Paul Daneker. On May 11, 1952 a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the present church site in Lewiston Orchards. The opening service was held on October 26, 1952, the day of dedication. The formal organization of Grace Lutheran took place at this time with 31 confirmed members who transferred from Trinity Lutheran. The parsonage was dedicated in December of 1954.
On May 3, 1959, ground was broken for a new addition to the church. First services in the new building were held Easter Sunday, April 30, 1960, with formal dedication following one year later.
