Kluger has written novels and articles, served in editorial capacities for the Wall Street Journal, the New York Post, Forbes magazine, the New York Herald Tribune, Book Week, and Simon and Schuster, and held the position of president and publisher of Charterhouse Books. He authored the Pulitzer Prize winning Ashes to Ashes, a history of the American tobacco industry.
