Peruvian writer and editor who, with César Moro, was a central figure in the development of avant-garde art and literature in Peru as well as Mexico. He began to publish Las Moradas in 1947.

Emilio Adolfo Westphalen was a Peruvian writer and editor who, with César Moro, was a central figure in the development of avant-garde art and literature in Peru and Mexico. He began the journal Las Moradas in 1947, publishing poets and writers, artists, and articles on politics, philosophy and anthropology. He published the work of Spanish writers in exile, as well as Americans, and Europeans.
