Witness for Peace (Organization)
Variant namesFounded in 1983; headquartered in Washington, D.C.; purpose is to work with the people of Central America by acting in continuous nonviolent resistance to U.S. covert or overt intervention in their countries and to help change U.S. policy to one which fosters justice, peace, and friendship with the countries of Central America; although primarily Christian, WFP welcomes others who vary in spiritual approach but who agree with WFP's objectives.
