Streeton, Arthur, Sir, 1867-1943
Variant namesAustralian painter, who spent some time in England, up to 1923 when he settled permanently in Victoria. He was knighted in 1937.

Australian artist. Streeton retired in 1938 to a cottage in Olinda in the Dandenong Ranges where he devoted himself to gardening. He died in 1943 after a long illness.
