Carol Pitchersky served as Head of Development and Strategic Planning and Associate Director for the Amercian Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and served as a consultant to other prominent nonprofit organizations.

Pitchersky worked for the ACLU from 1979-1988. She helped the organization overcome financial difficulties in the late 1970s and 1980s, through her efforts to revitalize fund-raising programs. Pitchersky passed away in October, 2004.
