Chapter 913 of the Laws of 1985 amended the Mental Hygiene Law to consolidate the Utica Psychiatric Center and the Marcy Psychiatric Center into one facility to be known as the Mohawk Valley Psychiatric Center. The members of the board of visitors were reduced to the number required by the mental hygiene law as the terms of office of the board members expired.
