Inland Empire Railroad Company.
The company was organized in 1919 to take over the operations of the Inland Division of the Spokane and Inland Empire Railroad Company, which had defaulted on its bond payments in 1918. The lines were sold to the Spokane, Coeur d'Alene and Palouse Railway, another GN branch line, in 1926.
