Professional radio and television industry employee and amateur genealogist, Doris Sanford spent her retirement researching the genealogy of Portuguese Presbyterians who immigrated to Jacksonville and Springfield, Illinois, via Trinidad, from the island of Madeira in the 1840s in order to escape religious persecution.
