Sarah Cresson (1771-1829) was born January 27, 1771, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Joshua and Mary (Hopkins) Cresson. Cresson was a Quaker minister beginning in 1791, and was “much esteemed.” She traveled frequently, and moved to Haddonfield, New Jersey, in 1807. She died September 23, 1829, in Haddonfield, New Jersey.
