Kirby, Edward M. (Edward Montague), 1906-1974

Col. Edward M. Kirby had a long and successful career in broadcasting, advertising and public relations.

During WWII, while head of the Army's radio branch, he started two programs, The Army Hour and Command Performance. After the war, he originated The Christmas Pageant of Peace for the Washington, D.C., Board of Trade. He was also Director of Public Relations for the United Service Organization (USO).
