Philippson, Alfred
Variant namesBorn in Bonn on January 1, 1864, Alfred Philippson received his doctorate in geography at Leipzig in 1886, his habilitation in Bonn in 1891 and taught at the Universities of Halle, Bern, and Bonn. He was deported to Theresienstadt in 1942, returned to Bonn in 1945, and died there on March 28, 1956.
