Edward Eyre Hunt (1885-1953), Harvard graduate, war correspondent, and author, was a member of the Committee on Elimination of Waste in Industry, Federated American Engineering Societies in 1920. He served as secretary of the U.S. Coal Commission from 1922 to 1923, and was secretary of the President's Emergency Committee on Employment from 1930 to 1931. From 1930 to 1933, he served as secretary of the President's Research Committee on Recent Social Trends.
