Raymond F. Boyer was born in Denver, Colorado on February 6, 1910. He was a longtime employee of Dow Chemical Company and was considered an expert in the field of high polymers. He feuded with Paul Flory over scientific and personal differences. Raymond Boyer died in Midland, Michigan on February 23, 1993.
