Norwood, James Alves Hogg, 1804-1852.
James Alves Hogg Norwood (1804-1852) was one of eight children of William and Robina Hogg Norwood of Hillsborough, N.C. He graduated from the University of North Carolina, 1824, and was a tutor at the university, 1833-1834; a student of law; and a teacher. He was married to Sarah Frances Benners (1821-1903).
