Limbocker or Lenbocker, enlisted and was mustered in Co. F, 4th Michigan Infantry at age 26 in Adrian, Lenawee County (Mich.) in June 1861. He was wounded in action in June 1862 and taken prisoner at Gettysburg (Pa.) on July 2, 1863. He was killed on Oct. 25, 1863 at Belle Island, Richmond (Va.) by enemy's guard, while on police duty.
