Moore, Richard A.

Born in 1930, Richard A. Moore received his Masters in Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Oregon in 1957. Moore took up a landscape architecture practice in Raleigh, North Carolina, where he operated through his firm, Megatech Incorporated. He was also appointed Associate Professor and Head of Landscape Architecture in 1962-1967 at North Carolina State University's School of Design. Moore often worked with colleague Lewis Clarke on landscape architecture projects. In 1967, Moore took a leave of absence from the School of Design and began to practice in Hawaii. He formally resinged from the faculty of the School of Design in August, 1968 and moved on to Honolulu, Hawaii to work with Eckbo, Dean, Austin & Williams.
