Ford Marketing Corporation
Beginning in 1973, Ford Motor Company initiated a review of Ford and Lincoln-Mercury dealer services in an effort to create a customer service focused program that would also enhance dealer revenues. As part of this program, test markets and dealers were identified in Syracuse, New York and Tampa, Florida. The Model Service City program eventually incorporated dealer advertising programs, time studies, and personnel suggestions focusing on meeting the goals of the program.
