Smith, J. Edwin.
J. Edwin Smith was born in 1914 and ran for Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas in 1958, as a member of the Democratic Party. Publicity photographs for this campaign were taken by Russell Lee. Although Smith lost this race, he has been a member in good standing of the Texas State Bar Association since 1937, and currently resides in Houston, Texas.
