Jerauld Armington Manter was born in 1890 and died in 1990 in Mansfield Center, CT. He taught at the University of Connecticut until his retirement in 1953 at the rank of Associate Professor (Entomology). He was the first person in Storrs, CT to own a movie camera and an avid photographer. The Manter films document various aspects of University of Connecticut student life and facilities.
