Among Mili︠u︡kov's historical studies were "Russia and its Crisis" (1905) and "Ocherki po istorii russkoĭ kult́ury" (1930-37). He was delegate to the Russian State Duma and a member of the Provisional government in 1917. He edited "Rech"́ in St. Petersburg and "Poslednii︠a︡ Novosti" in Paris.
