Tharp, John, 1751-1819.

John Tharp was born in 1751 in Somerset, New Jersey, and served in a New Jersey regiment during the Revolutionary War. He married Hannah Hurin in 1782 in Mendham, New Jersey. The Tharps eventually settled first in Cincinnati in the 1790s and later in Lebanon, Ohio, in about 1804.
