Crofton-Shubrick-Walcutt families.
Julia du Pont Shubrick (1806-1882), youngest daughter of Victor du Pont, spent most of her life near Wilmington, Del., or in Philadelphia and Scranton, Pennsylvania. Her daughter, Gabrielle Josephine Shubrick (1835-1894) married Robert E. A. Crofton (1834-1898), a career army officer, in 1864. Their second child, Julia du Pont Crofton (1866-1948) married Charles Carroll Walcutt, Jr., in 1891.
