Bond, William, 1734-1776.
Variant namesAm. Revolutionary army officer and colonel in the 25th Regiment of Foot from Mass. Bond led the regiment from July 1775 to August 1776, when he died from illness at a camp near Fort Ticonderoga, N.Y. At the time the Mass. 25th Regiment had been ordered north as part of the attempt to conquer Canada.
