Jarratt, Isaac Augustus, 1841-1890
Isaac Augustus Jarratt (1841-1890) graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1861. He was the son of Isaac C. Jarratt and Harriett Ann Bates Cash. In 1869 he married Sarah Ellen Puryear (1839-1912), daughter of Richard C. and Elizabeth Ann Clingman Puryear of the Shallow Ford Plantation. They had three children, Richard Clausel Jarratt (1870-1953), Harriett Jarratt Cooke (1874-1937), and Augustus Henry Jarratt (1878-1951).
