Congregational women's benevolent society founded in Boston, Mass., in 1817, chiefly to provide clothing to students and seminarians at Phillips Academy and Andover Theological Seminary, both in Andover, Mass.; also assisted local sewing circles with donations of fabric; in 1831 was absorbed by another Boston women's benevolent group, the Corban Society.
