United Pacifists of West Chester and Vicinity was formed in 1952 to educate for peace and world brotherhood; to provide a platform for the peace message in West Chester, Pennsylvania and vicinity; to counsel conscientious objectors; and to promote nonviolent approaches to conflict and tension. Other areas of interest were hunger relief in Europe in the form of a "Heifer Project," and anti-civil defense and anti-nuclear activities.
