Hunt, William E.
Variant namesWilliam E. Hunt (b. 1875), a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, was assigned to Camp Skagway, Alaska, in 1902, as Commanding Officer of Company "M," 8th Infantry. He left Alaska in 1903 and was reassigned in 1908 to Ft. Davis, Nome, as Commanding Officer of Company "I," 22nd Infantry. He brought his wife and 3-month old child, Richard, on this tour of duty. He retired from military service in 1939 and died in December 1946.
