The Commencement and Special Events division is part of the Office of External Affairs and operates under the direction of the Vice President for External Affairs. The Commencement and Special Events department is responsible for the planning, organization, and overseeing of university events and commencement ceremonies. Other than convocation ceremonies the department regularly organizes university events such as anniversary celebrations, guest lectures, fundraising dinners, and site dedications.
