Variant namesAfrican American man tried for murder and sentenced to death in Central City, Colorado on June 24, 1868. Territorial Governor granted a reprieve to consider a reduced sentence on August 12, 1869. Governor ordered execution on February 17, 1870. Execution carried out in April 1870.
