Herman B. Weisner (1922-2003) was a historian in New Mexico.
Weiner was a resident of Organ, New Mexico, for the majority of his life. He served his country in multiple ways. Not only was he a member of the US Coast Guard but he also served during World War II. Weisner was known for his book entitled The Politics of Justice: A.B. Fall and the Teapot Dome Scandal, A New Perspective. Herman B. Weisner died January 13, 2003 following a long illness.

Herman Weisner worked as an electronics technician at White Sands Missile Range in Otero County, New Mexico. Prior to his 1966 retirement, Weisner began researching New Mexico history, focusing on Lincoln and Doña Ana counties. He published Politics of Justice, A. B. Fall and the Teapot Dome Scandal, a New Perspective, in 1988. In 1993 Weisner received the Pasajeros del Camino Real, Hall of Fame Award for his twelve year endeavor on that project.
Weisner, a William H. Bonney genealogical researcher as well as a Lincoln County historian, wrote various articles about Billy the Kid, the Lincoln County War and Pat Garrett. His articles include "Garrett's Death - Conspiracy or Double-cross" for True West magazine, in 1979 and "Outlaw rock: Now it seems certain where Billy the Kid and his friends were holed up from May-December 1880," written in 1982.
Weisner, a member of the New Mexico Historical Society, provided historic displays for Organ, New Mexico, Fourth of July celebrations throughout the 1970s and was often called upon by film makers to verify historical accuracy in movie projects.
