King family.
Philip Gidley King (1758-1808) was third governor of New South Wales. Phillip Parker King (1791-1856), son of Philip Gidley and Anna Josepha King, followed a naval and surveying career. The eldest son of Phillip Parker and Harriet King was Philip Gidley King the younger (1817-1904), pastoralist and Member of the Legislative Council.
