Administrative Vice-President at Oberlin College (1971-74). Mason was born in Lynn, Massachusetts in 1929 and received his B.A. from Harvard in 1951. He served in the Korean War. In 1960, he returned to Harvard and held a series of positions including Assistant Manager of the Program for Harvard Medical School and Associate Dean of Resources. Mason came to Oberlin in 1971 and served under President Robert Fuller. In 1974, he accepted a position as Vice President for Resources at Boston University.
