Cyrus Townsend Brady was an American clergyman and author. Born in Pennsylvania, he graduated from the United States Naval Academy, and later became a deacon in the Episcopalian Church. He was probably best-known for his adventure stories set in the recent past, such as the American Revolution, the War of 1812, or the American Civil War.

Cyrus Townsend Brady (1861-1920) was an American author and priest best known for his historical romance novels centered on the American Revolution, War of 1812, and the American Civil War.

Townsend was born in Allegheny, Pennsylvania on December 20, 1861. He graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1883 before going on to become an ordained deacon in 1889 and a priest 1890. Townsend served as rector of several Episcopalian churches in Missouri and Colorado and archdeacon of Kansas until 1895. In 1899, he was appointed archdeacon of Pennsylvania before becoming Rector of St. Paul's Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
