Dr. Charles A. Clinton was born in Ireland and came to the San Francisco in the early 1870s. He served on the Board of Education, City Board of Examination, Board of Health, and Board of Supervisors. As a supervisor, he was chairman of the Committee on Water and Water Rates. In his medical practice he was known for treating epilepsy.
