Priest and historian. Born ca. 1748 in Cuernavaca, Morelia; died 1812 in Mexico City. Studied at the Colegio de San Juan Letrán, where he later taught philosophy and Latin. Chaplain of the Hospicio de Pobres and presbítero of the Oratorio de San Felipe Neri. Author of Vida y martirio del protomártir mexicano San Felipe de Jesús de las Casas, Elogio de San Felipe Neri, Historia de N.S. de los Remedios, and Límites de Louisiana y Texas. The last years of his life were devoted to the latter treatise.
