Ganter, Herbert Lawrence, 1904-1980.

Born in Galveston, Texas, Herbert Lawrence Ganter received a B. A. degree from the College of William and Mary in 1927, and a law degree from the College in 1930. Ganter was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, ODK, and the F.H.C. He served as assistant director of the sesquicentennial celebration of Yorktown. He was archivist of the College from 1948 to 1974. He died in 1980 at the age of 76.
