Born at Hemlock Lake, N.Y. Taught high school in New York and Illinois, later moved to Valley City, N.D. where he taught at Valley City State Teachers College from 1910 to 1954. Wed Fern Stephenson in 1911. Introduced Young Citizens League to North Dakota and South Dakota schools in 1927 and was active in local and state Kiwanis. Died at Polson, Mont. in 1965, she died in 1967.
