Ann Getz Hutchinson Leech Lake, a native of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, lived in Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati before she came to California in 1861 to live with her daughter. Her daughter's husband was Dr. Jacob Newton Brown, who practived medicine in San Jose.
