Oscar Sydney Cox (1905-1966) was born in Portland, Maine. He attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and received his Ph.B. in 1927, and his LL.B. in 1929 from Yale University. Cox was associated with the law firm of Cadwalader, Wickersham and Taft, and a member of both the Supreme Court and New York bars from 1919 to 1934.
