Butrus al-Bustani was a publisher and journalist from Lebanon. He established and published the educational, historical, literary and scientific magazine al-Jinān ('Gardens') from 1870-1874. Following the success of al-Jinān he established the weekly magazine al-Janān ('Garden' or 'Paradise'), and followed this with a third publication in 1870, called al-Junāyna ('Little Garden').
